DNC Day 1: Vultures, Violence, and Vasectomies

The Democrat National Convention (DNC) kicked off in Chicago last night, where the party gave Joe Biden a disrespectful send-off inside the United Center. Outside, leftists were giving abortions and vasectomies while pro-Palestine protestors clashed with police.

Let’s start with the freak show inside the arena…

Bye-bye, Biden: Night one of the DNC was dedicated to bidding farewell to Joe Biden after the party effectively orchestrated a coup last month to remove him from the 2024 ticket. However, they didn’t let him speak until nearly midnight — keeping him out of ‘primetime’ between 8 and 11 PM — a move many Democrat pundits found disrespectful:

• Mark Knoller, a CBS correspondent said: “They took the nomination away from him and now booted him out of prime time."

• Charlotte Alter, a TIME reporter said: “Pushing Biden out of primetime is a huge mistake.”

• An anonymous Biden aid told Axios: “This is awful. He literally set up a campaign and handed it over to them—do they have to cut him out of prime time?”

When Biden finally spoke, it was much of what we’ve come to expect from the sunsetting Democrat. He spent most of the speech yelling into the microphone and repeating lies about Donald Trump that have already been debunked by left-wing fact-checkers [such as the Charlottesville neo-Nazi lie].

Other notable speakers: Hillary Clinton and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez both spoke at last night’s event.

• Clinton took joy in the weaponized justice system going after her former 2016 opponent, saying Trump is "The first person to run for president with 34 felony convictions."

• AOC energized the crowd with lies that “Donald Trump would sell this country for a dollar if it meant lining his own pockets” — despite the former president giving away his salary every year in office.

Now let’s talk about the freak show outside…

Murder mobile: Planned Parenthood was outside the DNC offering free abortions and vasectomies in an oversized van. All available appointments were reportedly already booked before the event even began. This is right on brand for Democrats.

Pro-Palestine protestors: Before the event began, thousands of left-wing protestors were causing chaos outside the arena to protest the party’s stance on the conflict between Israel and Palestine. At one point, rioters tore down the walls erected around the arena and breached the safety perimeter.

Wait, did you say “walls”? Yes, I did. While the Democrat party vehemently opposes a wall at our southern border to keep illegal aliens out of our communities, they had no problem putting up walls to protect themselves from the radicals within their own party.

What’s up next? Former President Barack Obama will headline tonight’s event. Other speakers include former First Lady Michelle Obama and Bernie Sanders.

Trump and Vance disrupt the DNC with multi-city counter-programming

While Democrats coronate Kamala Harris at the DNC in Chicago this week, Donald Trump and J.D. Vance will hold a multi-state “barnstorming” tour across several key swing states.

The details: On Sunday, the Trump campaign announced dates and locations where the pair plan to highlight Kamala’s “failed record” as Vice President:

• 🗓️ Tues: Trump in Detroit. Vance in Wisconsin

• 🗓️ Weds: Trump & Vance in North Carolina

Trump began the counterprogramming by giving a speech at a factory in York, Pennsylvania. The former president focused on economics: trade, tax cuts, pro-energy policies, and tariffs.

Vance began his week in Philadelphia, where he first went to Pat’s for an obligatory cheesesteak before giving a speech focused on economic and energy issues and contrasting the Trump agenda with the Biden-Harris record.

Big picture: This is a wise strategy from the Trump campaign. While Democrats are cooped up in Chicago, congratulating themselves for executing a coup to overthrow Joe Biden, get Trump and Vance out in the swing states connecting with voters.
