Supreme Court smacks down Biden-Harris student debt scheme

The Supreme Court denied Joe Biden and Kamala Harris' attempts to reinstate provisions of their student loan cancellation scheme that a federal court had already rejected.

Back up: In July, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals pumped the breaks on their entire student loan 'forgiveness' plan — estimated to cost taxpayers $475 billion — while its constitutionality was argued in the lower courts.

The details: Following the 8th Circuit ruling, Biden and Harris appealed to the Supreme Court, asking it for ‘emergency relief’ to allow their scheme to continue while it works through the lower courts. The Supreme Court issued a short response:

• “The application to vacate injunction presented to Justice Kavanaugh and by him referred to the Court is denied. The Court expects that the Court of Appeals will render its decision with appropriate dispatch.”

Zoom out: There were no recorded dissents, suggesting even the liberal Justices did not think it had merit.

Big picture: This scheme does not "forgive" debt. It transfers it from people who willingly took on student loans and gives it to people who did not attend college or have already paid off their debt.

Why is it that when grocery store prices are high, Democrats want to put price caps on the grocers — but when college tuition is too high, they don’t want to put price caps on the schools? Because the schools are their voters and their donors.

The suburbs of Colorado are battling an outbreak of crime linked to illegal aliens who are part of the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua.

A viral video: The violent gang’s impact was highlighted recently as a viral video appears to show heavily armed men storming an apartment building in Aurora, Colorado, seizing control of the complex.

Quote: Aurora City Council member Danielle Jurinsky spoke to Fox News, to share the reality that she says “local media is downplaying.”

• "We currently have entire complexes under gang control — complexes where staff have been beaten up, they've been threatened, their families have been threatened."

• “These complexes are being run by this Tren de Aragua gang… Parts of the city are absolutely under this gang’s control.”

Bad neighbors: Although Aurora is not a “sanctuary city,” its nearby neighbor, Denver, is.

Zoom out: The illegal alien who raped and murdered Georgia college student Laken Riley earlier this year is believed to be linked to Tren de Aragua.

Who are Tren de Aragua? They originated in Venezuelan prisons and, in the U.S., are known for crimes such as drug trafficking, human trafficking, sex trafficking, kidnapping, prostitution, and murder.

Big picture: This violent gang grew in the United States under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, thanks to their red-carpet border policies that have allowed more than 12.5 million illegals to enter the country.
