Good morning, Wake Up Right fam! Just 24 hours after the ceasefire between the U.S., Israel, and Iran was announced, there are reports and accusations of all three parties violating it in one way or another. And President Trump

Here’s how we’re gonna handle it: No overreaction one way or another. We’re gonna sit this story out today, let the fog of war clear, and reassess once there’s a clearer picture.

As for President Trump: He’s basically the dad in the front seat yelling “Don’t make me pull this car over!” to his kids in the back seat. In a late-night Truth Social post, he wrote:

  • “All US ships, aircraft, and military personnel... will remain in place in, and around, Iran, until such time as the REAL AGREEMENT reached is fully complied with… If for any reason it is not...the ‘Shootin’ Starts,′ bigger, and better, and stronger than anyone has ever seen before.”

Ghost Murmur: The CIA’s secret heartbeat tool

The CIA just revealed it has a tool that can detect your heartbeat from 40 miles away — and it used it for the first time to rescue a downed American pilot hiding in the mountains of Iran.

The details: The technology, called "Ghost Murmur," uses quantum magnetometry to detect the electromagnetic signature of a human heartbeat, then pairs that data with AI to isolate the signal from background noise.

  • Big quote: CIA Director John Ratcliffe described the technology, saying: "It’s like hearing a voice in a stadium, except the stadium is a thousand square miles of desert."

  • It was developed by Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works division.

Back up: The missing weapons systems officer, known only as "Dude 44 Bravo,” had survived two days hiding in a mountain crevice after his F-15 was shot down, with Iranian troops hunting him and a bounty on his head. Dude 44 Bravo activated a Boeing-made survival beacon, but his exact location was not clear to rescue teams until Ghost Murmur locked onto his signal.

The signal: This is one of those cutting-edge technological revelations that makes our enemies say, "What else do the Americans have up their sleeves?"

The last word goes to President Donald Trump, who told the NY Post: “We have many other things that nobody has ever heard about. We have equipment the likes of which nobody has ever even thought about.”

California’s gas price scam

California spent years blaming oil companies for sky-high gas prices — then a six-month investigation found the real culprit was the state government.

The details: A CBS News California investigation revealed that state policies, refinery closures, and California's isolated fuel market are to blame for driving the nation's highest gas prices above $6 a gallon – not price gouging.

  • After a taxpayer-funded special session and two years of investigation, state officials admitted they found no evidence of illegal price gouging.

  • However, two major refineries [Valero in the Bay Area and Phillips 66 near Los Angeles] shut down, eliminating nearly 20% of the state's refining capacity and hundreds of jobs.

Hypocrisy: In order to comply with its own environmental standards, California now outsources refining to Asia, where the environmental standards are weaker – not to mention the added costs for shipping that affect the pump price.

The numbers: California-specific costs – including a 61-cent state excise tax, 23 cents for cap-and-trade, and 14 cents for its Low Carbon Fuel Standard – add roughly $20 per fill-up over what drivers in other states pay.

Zoom out: The national average for a gallon of gas today is $4.16. In California, it’s $5.92 – meaning you pay a 42% tax to fill up your tank in California.

The last word goes to Chevron president, Andy Walz, who put it bluntly: "It took was two refineries to close, and then they said, 'Oh, maybe [the oil producers are] not price gouging.'"
