Biden is hiring 1,200 DEI jobs before Trump takes office

The Biden-Harris regime is fast-tracking hiring 1,200 diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) roles across the federal government with just a month left before President-elect Donald Trump takes office.

The details: According to an analysis of federal job ads done by Daily Wire, Biden is quickly trying to fill the DEI roles with salaries up to $310,000 annually, which could cost taxpayers roughly $160 million per year.

• 33 of the DEI roles were posted 10 days immediately after Trump won the election.

Examples: Some of the most egregious roles found on the government hiring site, USAJobs.gov, include:

• Director of the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion at the FDIC with a remote work option and a $310,000 salary.

• Deputy Assistant Secretary for Minority Health at HHS to "promote health equity" with a $221,900 salary.

• Director of the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity at the FDIC will develop “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility” plans for a $310,000 salary.

• The Secret Service is looking for a social media specialist who will work remotely and earn a $113,800 salary.

Zoom out: The average American makes $59,228 annually.

Big picture: This is yet another example of the Biden regime trying to derail the incoming Trump administration’s plans. Biden recently moved to sell off border wall-building materials before Trump takes office.

The bright side: Since most of these roles are ones Trump would want to remove entirely, he can simply dissolve the positions, which is much easier than firing federal employees.

Disney caves, removes trans storyline

Disney has removed a transgender storyline in Pixar’s upcoming animated series ‘Win or Lose’ following years of backlash from parents over its overly sexualized or identity-focused content.

The details: The animated series, which is set to air its first episode in February, follows a co-ed middle school softball team. An episode that was slated to follow a transgender character has been removed. The character will remain in other episodes, but references to its gender identity have been taken out.

Disney leaves it to parents: A representative for Disney said: “When it comes to animated content for a younger audience, we recognize that many parents would prefer to discuss certain subjects with their children on their own terms and timeline."

Back up: This is a major shift for the company that once went to war with Florida over its Parental Rights in Education bill.

• Disney has been fighting a losing battle in the culture war over the last few years. Its films like Lightyear (2022) and Onward (2020) both received backlash from parents over their inclusion of themes surrounding sexual orientation.

Zoom out: According to a 2022 Pew survey, in the U.S., 5.1% of young adults [18-29] identify as transgender compared to 1.3% between the ages of 30-49 and 0.3% among those 50+.

Big picture: Transgenderism is a hot-button issue today, as the Supreme Court is currently weighing whether states have the right to prohibit irreversible gender procedures on children.
