Good morning, my friends.

Today, I’m putting down my pen, and Wake Up Right is going on an indefinite hiatus.

Nothing is wrong. Thank God.

I’ve just run out of time. Work is more demanding these days. Sacrificing family time is non-negotiable. And that only leaves one place to cut back.

Last week, I found myself stressed because my son was taking longer than usual to fall asleep. Not because he was doing anything wrong, obviously. But because I knew I still had to get started on the next day’s newsletter.

And in that moment I thought: Nothing in life [not even a newsletter I love writing] is worth rushing a moment with him.

I’m hesitant to write some grand goodbye because, honestly, I don’t know what the future holds for Wake Up Right. I’d love to tell you I’ll be back on a specific date. I can’t. I’d love to say this is definitely the end. I can’t say that either.

So for now, I’ll just say this:

Thank you. For reading. For replying. For sharing Wake Up Right with your friends and family. Thank you for sending your stories, prayers, encouragement, feedback, and spelling/grammer edits (😂).

It's been a pleasure spending my mornings with you.
