New details emerge about Las Vegas bomber

New details have emerged about the man behind the Tesla Cybertruck bomb that went off outside the Trump International hotel in Las Vegas.

Tracking this story is like trying to drink from a fire hose, so let’s go through the reports one by one…

Who is he? The bomber was identified as U.S. Army Master Sgt. Matthew Livelsberger, 37, a Special Operations soldier who was on leave from his base in Germany.

Fallout with wife: Six days before the bombing, Livelsberger's wife broke up with him over an alleged affair he was having. He left their home on December 26.

The truck: Livelsberger rented the Cybertruck in Denver, Colorado, on December 28 with the car-sharing app Turo [the same app used by the New Orleans terrorist] and told the owner he was using it to go camping at the Grand Canyon.

Bought two guns: On December 30, he purchased two semiautomatic firearms legally.

He shot himself? Law enforcement revealed that Livelsberger shot and killed himself inside the vehicle "prior to the detonation of the vehicle.”

Passport found: While the explosion burned Livelsberger to the point where his body could not be removed from the vehicle, investigators managed to find his passport, still intact, and identify him.

Alleged Trump supporter: Despite the [seemingly obvious?] suggested symbolism behind blowing up a Tesla outside of a Trump hotel; he allegedly supported President-elect Trump, according to an unnamed relative who recalls him saying, "Trump was a soldier's best friend."

Link to New Orleans terrorist? While the FBI says there is “no definitive link” between Livelsberger and the New Orleans terrorist who killed 15 people, there are several uncanny coincidences. Both of the men…

• served at Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg) in North Carolina

• rented the trucks used in their attacks on the Turo app

• committed their attacks within hours of each other

Seven people were injured in the bombing.

Biden to ban offshore drilling on his way out the door

As he packs his bags to leave the White House, Joe Biden is preparing an executive order to block new offshore oil and gas development — an attempt to blunt Donald Trump's plans to "drill, baby, drill.”

The details: Biden plans to issue an executive order barring the sale of new drilling rights in portions of the outer continental shelf, likely areas off the coast of California and/or the Gulf of Mexico.

Can he do that? Biden plans to use the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act — a 72-year-old law that grants presidents the power to restrict drilling rights.

Can Trump reverse it? It’s complicated. While the law gives presidents the power to restrict drilling, it does not explicitly give them the power to withdraw drilling bans. This will likely lead to a long legal battle. This is probably Biden’s real goal — to delay and burden Trump.

Zoom out: President-elect Trump campaigned on a desire to unleash American energy production, which he believes will lower the costs of all goods and services.

Back up: The Biden regime has already banned energy production on a massive 41 million acres—equivalent to the entire land and water mass of Florida.

Big picture: Biden isn’t sabotaging Trump — he’s sabotaging the will of the American people, who overwhelmingly voted for the 47th president and his policies.
