What do they have in common? They’re all more important than Jeffrey Epstein.

Yes, I want justice for his victims. And no, I don’t buy that there’s “no evidence” to go after his powerful friends.

But let's take a breath: Social media culture has online figures chasing clicks and clout, trying to legitimize themselves with “hot take” overreactions. And in doing so, they’re distracting from the agenda we actually voted for.

It’s ok to be frustrated by a single decision the administration makes. But I encourage you to resist the urge to react on impulse.

Trump DOJ investigating Obama spies

Former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey are targets of a federal criminal investigation regarding their roles in the “Russia Collusion” hoax targeting Donald Trump in 2016.

The details: According to sources within the Justice Department, the current CIA Director, John Ratcliffe, referred Brennan to the FBI for investigation after reviewing declassified internal reviews. The FBI views his and Comey's coordination as a potential criminal "conspiracy.”

Back up: The FBI’s 2016 “Crossfire Hurricane” probe into Trump-Russia “collusion” was launched based on the Steele Dossier – unverified [and now discredited] opposition research funded by Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

• The dossier was later included in a January 6, 2017, Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) for then-President Obama, which led to the appointment of a special counsel to investigate Trump-Russia collusion.

• In 2019, Special Counsel Robert Mueller concluded that there was no Trump–Russia conspiracy. In 2023, the Durham report went a step further and concluded the probe was politically motivated.

Zoom out: A 2025 CIA review found the Steele Dossier’s inclusion in the 2017 ICA was politically driven and ignored intelligence standards. It also found that Brennan pushed to include the discredited dossier, despite warnings from senior CIA officials.

• Perjury? In 2023, Brennan testified to the House Judiciary Committee that he did not believe the dossier should be included in the 2017 ICA.

What the White House is saying: Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News: "Both of these disgraceful individuals turned against our Constitution and our country... The truth must come out."

Trump bans China from buying U.S. farmland

The Trump administration unveiled plans to stop Chinese nationals and other foreign adversaries from buying up U.S. farmland, warning that hostile powers are targeting America’s food supply and critical infrastructure.

The details: Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins launched the National Farm Security Action Plan on Tuesday — a 7-point initiative that aims to secure farmland from enemies like China, strengthen supply chains, stop nutrition fraud, protect American agriculture innovation, put America first in every USDA program, safeguard from bio-threats, and secure critical infrastructure.

• Rollins said 70 scientists from adversary nations have already been cut, and 550 foreign entities are being removed from USDA programs.

National Security: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the Pentagon will block land sales to foreign nationals near military installations, citing recent Chinese purchases near at least 19 U.S. bases.

The last word goes to Secretary Rollins, who put it perfectly: “The farm’s produce is not just a commodity, it is a way of life that underpins America itself, and that’s exactly why it is under threat from criminals, from political adversaries, and from hostile regimes that understand our way of life as a profound and existential threat to themselves.”
