Good morning, Wake Up Right fam! I’m not a big soccer fan, but I have enjoyed watching Europeans experience the United States for the first time.

The latest example: Scottish fans celebrated their win in Boston by quite literally drinking the town dry. The Sam Adams taproom ran out of Boston Lager, and one bar owner said the Scots drank three times more beer than he sells on St. Patrick’s Day.

FBI foils UFC terror plot

The FBI says it broke up a coordinated drone-and-sniper attack aimed at Sunday's UFC Freedom 250 on the White House South Lawn – a crowd of 4,000-plus that included President Donald Trump.

The details: FBI Director Kash Patel revealed Tuesday that agents disrupted the plot before the fights, arresting five suspects in a multi-state operation. The alleged plan was specific and gruesome, spelled out in Signal chats investigators recovered.

  • The plan: Attackers allegedly planned to fly explosive-laden drones into nearby buildings to panic the crowd, then have snipers pick people off as they fled. A "second wave" would have stormed the White House gate.

  • The ringleader, Tycen Proper, 19, told the FBI the goal was to "jumpstart" a revolution, according to the criminal complaint.

  • How they were caught: Proper's own mother turned him in, calling police June 10 after he spent $3,000 in graduation money on rifles and thousands of rounds of ammo.

  • How they organized: The FBI says the plotters met through TikTok before moving into a more secure Signal chat to plan.

What drove them? The ideology looks messy. One suspect said the group wanted to hit "capitalist elites," "billionaires," and politicians funded by the pro-Israel lobby AIPAC. The same crew burned MAGA flags online and bashed Trump.

The targets: This wasn't random. One suspect said the group wanted to hit "capitalist elites," "billionaires," and politicians funded by the pro-Israel lobby AIPAC. Named potential targets included Sen. Marsha Blackburn and other Republican lawmakers, with photos pulled from an AIPAC-tracking website.

Big picture: The arrests come amid a string of political violence – from the assassination of Charlie Kirk to the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. As Vice President JD Vance said: "This is what happens when people turn the rhetoric up so loud that disagreeing with somebody is a cause for violence.”

The latest on peace deal with Iran

With the U.S.-Iran signing set for Friday in Geneva, the deal isn't even on paper yet – and the knives are already out.

Where it stands: President Donald Trump's Memorandum of Understanding isn't a final peace deal. It ends hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon, and opens a 60-day window to negotiate the hard stuff: Iran's nuclear program, the Strait of Hormuz, and sanctions relief.

The leaks – handle with care: Two competing versions are circulating, and the White House has confirmed neither.

  • 💧 Leak 1: Israel's Channel 12 (via Axios's Barak Ravid) reported a 12-point text: toll-free Hormuz for 60 days, unfrozen assets, U.S. troop withdrawal 30 days after a final deal, and a $300 billion reconstruction fund.

  • 💧 Leak 2: Iran's Mehr News pushed a 14-point version claiming $12 billion released up front and another $12 billion during talks.

Big picture: Iran analyst Trita Parsi correctly warns that some leaks are deliberate "sabotage efforts" meant to make the deal look toxic.

For example…

Fact check: The U.S. is not giving Iran $300 billion, despite what liars on the left and right are claiming. The reconstruction fund is a private investment, backed by Middle Eastern states and private investors.

  • Vice President Vance said, Iran is “not getting a single dime of American money."

  • And the fund only comes to life if Iran fully complies with denuclearization.

Who's trying to blow up this deal? There are three camps slipping in poison pills.

  • 🇮🇱 Israel: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu won't leave Lebanon, and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said, "Trump's agreement does not bind us."

  • 🟥 The right's hawks: Mark Levin, Marc Thiessen, and Ben Shapiro are trashing it as Obama's 2015 nuclear deal reborn.

  • 🇮🇷 Iran's hardliners: the Paydari Front wants permanent Hormuz control and zero concessions.

Trump and Israel on the rocks? The president didn't hide his frustration at the G7. He ripped into Israel's handling of Lebanon, saying "I'm not happy with the way Israel has handled themselves with Lebanon and with Hezbollah… You don't have to knock down an apartment house every time you're looking for somebody... they're not all Hezbollah."

Big picture: Trump says Iran will soon be "back in the rearview mirror.” He knows this war is killing him domestically. He wants it wrapped up yesterday.

What’s next? The signing is set for Friday in Geneva, Switzerland.

🇺🇸 Today’s story comes from Donna.

I live in a military town & couldn't be happier. Every morning the F22's & other aircraft leave for their drills. It's very loud & we here in this town call that the sound of freedom. Then the EOD school starts their morning bombings & our windows rattle, but I feel safe. It feels good to know they've got our backs.
