Good morning, Wake Up Right fam! Sometimes you need to pause and appreciate that we are living through history being made in real time.

Forty-eight hours after dropping 14 bunker-buster bombs on Iran, President Donald J. Trump got the regime to agree to a ceasefire with Israel yesterday. That’s not politics. That’s power. And only Trump has the experience and gut instincts to close deals like this.

We’ll get into the details below.

  • ☮️ 85% don't want to go to war with Iran

  • 👼 There were 1.14 million abortions in 2024

  • 🛒 Kroger to close 60 stores over 18 months

  • ✈️ Trump is traveling to a NATO summit in The Hague

  • 🗳️ 70% of Cali voters want ballots in foreign languages

SCOTUS gives Trump green light on deportations to non-origin countries

The Supreme Court ruled to let the Trump administration resume deporting illegal aliens to third-party countries.

The details: The court voted 6-3 along ideological lines to reverse a Biden-appointed lower court judge’s injunction that had stopped President Donald Trump from deporting illegals to countries that were not their place of origin.

  • The three liberal judges dissented, writing that the Trump administration should "proceed with caution" while deporting illegals.

Back up: Last month, the Biden judge, Brian Murphy, ruled that the Trump administration didn't give eight illegals enough time to challenge their deportations to South Sudan, which has agreed to jail some U.S. illegals.

Not sending their best: The illegals in question include individuals from from Cuba, Vietnam, Myanmar, and other countries — all convicted of violent crimes like murder, arson, and rape.

Why Sudan? Their home countries would not accept them.

What the Trump admin is saying: A spokesman for the Department of Homeland Security responded to the ruling, saying: "Fire up the deportation planes."

Complete and Total CEASEFIRE

President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Iran have agreed to a “Complete and Total CEASEFIRE,” potentially ending nearly two weeks of conflict in the Middle East.

The details: Trump posted on Truth Social that the ceasefire would roll out in two 12-hour phases and praised both nations for “having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end” what he called “THE 12 DAY WAR.”

Zoom out: The agreement came just a few hours after Iran launched retaliatory strikes against U.S. military bases in Qatar and Iraq. But the Iranians gave advanced notice, enabling U.S. forces to intercept the missiles before impact – resulting in zero casualties. Trump wrote on Truth Social:

  • “I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice… Perhaps Iran can now proceed to Peace and Harmony in the Region, and I will enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same.”

How it went down: After seeing Iran had no intention to escalate, Trump called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and told him he wanted to end the war. Netanyahu agreed to a ceasefire as long as Iran stopped launching missiles.

  • Trump then worked with leaders in Qatar, who acted as mediators and relayed the ceasefire plans to Iran and finalized the terms of the agreement.

What happens next? Early this morning, Israel claimed that Iran has already broken the ceasefire, but the Iranians deny it. I would keep a cautious but optimistic outlook here. The dust is still settling. I have a feeling that this morning, President Trump is strongly reiterating the terms of this ceasefire to both nations.

Your responses: Do you support Trump’s strikes on Iran?

In yesterday’s newsletter, I asked if you supported President Trump’s decision to strike Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend. Here’s what you said:

🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Yes [support] (1105)

⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️ No [oppose] (125)

No [oppose]: “This is Israel's war - they started it without our ok, so let them finish it. It feels very manipulative, and I only pray it doesn't lead us inexorably into WWIII.”

Yes [support]: “A country’s motto cannot be Death to America. The bombing seems to be the only path to peace for this radical regime, which the Iranian people need to overthrow.”

Yes [support]: “Based on his Presidential history, I trust that this was a targeted attack meant to bring Iran to the peace-talk table. Not the first attack in another never-ending war in the Middle East.”

Yes [support]: “As a 9/11 veteran who was deployed 2 months after 9/11 to the Middle East, I stand firm that these countries should be wiped out. They will never know peace and equality. They are too radicalized and spreading their Islamic hate like a disease. I feel sorry for the civilians that want no part of it…”

No [oppose]: “For more than 20 years, people alleged that Iran had access to nuclear weapons yet they’ve never attacked. This just caused many people in the middle and center right to flip back to the left.”

Yes [support]: “For over four decades, we’ve tolerated Iran's attacks on US citizens, military personnel, and assets. It’s been long enough. We were tolerant enough. It was time to demonstrate that we are done playing games.”

Yes [support]: “History tells us ‘peace through strength’ is the only option in a world of bullies… but it is Imperative that we maintain a moral high ground in our decisions and use, not abuse, of power.”

No [oppose]: “Really tired of being Israel’s lapdog. Iran is not a threat to us, and Netanyahu has been saying Iran is weeks away from a nuke for 30 years.”

Yes [support]: “I trust Trump's judgment. The administration has information that the general public doesn't. I like the execution strategy.”

A few months ago, I was at a butcher in my neighborhood and saw a diagram of a cow, with all the cuts of meat labeled. And that gave me an idea for a t-shirt:

DOGE Butcher Shop — but instead of the cow, we use a pig. And the cuts of meat in the diagram represent all the waste, fraud, and abuse being butchered by the Trump admin.

Over the last few weeks, I worked with a really talented graphic designer who brought it to life. And on Friday I got a sample in the mail and I’m happy to say, it came out better than I’d hoped.

Also, my wife told me I had to mention that the t-shirt it’s printed on is Comfort Colors. Apparently, they’re well-known for high-quality materials. I just chose them because they are printed in the U.S. and made with 100 U.S. cotton.
