Happy Friday, Wake Up Right fam! Recent reports suggest that Iran’s new Ayatollah, Mojtaba Khamenei, could be in a coma with an amputated leg after a recent US-Israeli airstrike.
To counter the reports, the regime issued a sable-rattling statement that allegedly came from the “Supreme Leader.”
I’m not saying the guy is a vegetable. But they could have at the very least had one of their terrorism interns film a quick video on a smartphone and post it online for proof of life.
It must be a tough time to be a life insurance salesman in Tehran.

Farmer Bill’s Meat Snacks

Do you like jerky? Then you will love biltong.
Jerky is tough and dry. But biltong has marbling like a ribeye steak and is super tender.
How? It's air-dried, unlike jerky, which is cooked. And the air-drying process gives it 30% more protein per ounce than jerky.
Why I recommend Farmer Bill’s: It’s a rancher-owned company, sourcing beef and bison from the grasslands of South Dakota. Their biltong is:
🐮 Grass-fed, grass-finished
💪 High-protein snack
🇺🇸 100% American beef
🚫 No nitrates
🚫 No sugar
🚫 No processed ingredients
Translation: clean, simple, high-protein meat snacks you’ll actually crave.

ISIS-inspired terrorist killed by Old Dominion students

Students at Old Dominion University stopped a suspected ISIS-inspired gunman after he opened fire inside a classroom – heroically preventing a much deadlier attack.
The details: The attacker, identified as Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, stormed into a classroom in Norfolk, Virginia, on Thursday, asking if it was a Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) class.
After a student confirmed it was an ROTC course, Jalloh opened fire, striking multiple people.
During the attack, Jalloh reportedly shouted “Allahu Akbar.”
Lt. Col. Brandon Shah, the instructor and a decorated U.S. Army veteran, later died from his injuries.
Two ROTC students were wounded and transported to a hospital.
Heroic response: Several students subdued and killed the gunman, including one who reportedly used a knife to stop him.
FBI Director Kash Patel said their actions saved lives. “The shooter is now deceased thanks to a group of brave students who stepped in and subdued him.”
What we know about the attacker: Jalloh, who was born in Sierra Leone, was previously convicted of attempting to provide material support to ISIS.
He pleaded guilty in 2015 after discussing plans for a Fort Hood–style attack with someone he believed was an ISIS contact.
He had traveled to Africa to meet extremist recruiters and attempted to join ISIS.
He was sentenced to 11 years in prison but was released early in December 2024 by the Biden regime.
What’s next? The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force is now leading the investigation and treating the shooting as a terrorist attack.
Real talk from G: He was in prison. For plotting an attack on American citizens. But Joe Biden let him out early. He would still have been in prison today. We see examples like this all the time – where Democrats let criminals out on the streets, and eventually, innocent people are killed. When will there be consequences for the people who let them out?

How One Wellness Brand Is Helping America Sleep Better
You know the importance of sleep, but actually getting enough is easier said than done. One wellness brand decided to study the problem and whether CBD could help.
CBD users have long reported feeling calmer and sleeping better, whether taking the compound by itself or with related hemp-derived compounds like CBN and THC. But rumor isn’t research, so CBDistillery conducted two sleep studies: a 2021 study into CBD and CBN, and a 2023 study with technology app Releaf into CBD, CBN and THC.
Study participants who took CBD and CBN reported falling asleep easier and sleeping an hour longer per night, on average. Study participants who took THC as well as CBD and CBN reported improved quality of sleep and waking up more refreshed the next morning.

Senate passes Trump-backed major housing reform bill

The Senate approved the largest housing affordability overhaul in decades, passing a bipartisan bill that includes President Donald Trump’s proposal to limit corporate ownership of single-family homes.
The details: The bipartisan legislation passed 89–10 on Thursday and includes several reforms aimed at addressing the U.S. housing affordability crisis, like expanding housing supply incentives, streamlining permitting, and encouraging new home construction.
The crown jewel in the bill is President Trump's proposal to restrict institutional investors from gobbling up single-family homes, taking them away from American families. Under this bill, those companies are prohibited from owning more than 350 single-family homes.
Firms that exceed the 350 figure can continue acquiring homes only if they build or substantially renovate new housing to increase the U.S. supply. But – and this is the key – they must sell those homes within seven years.
For perspective, Blackstone owns more than 58,000 single-family homes that it rents out to Americans.
Why Trump pushed it: He’s argued that large investment firms buying up homes are pricing families out of the market. Earlier this year, he said, "Homes are built for people, not corporations."
Unlikely allies: Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren has championed the provision, recently saying, "Private equity cannot come in and buy up all of the housing supply in America. Homes should be for families, not for giant corporations.”
Pushback: Critics say the rule may remove hundreds of thousands of homes from the rental market over the next decade.
What happens next: The bill will head to the House, which passed its own version earlier this year, so the two chambers of Congress will have to agree on terms, but ultimately, this should end up on President Trump's desk.
Real talk from G: When a home goes up for sale, the Blackstones of the world are coming in and offering above the listing price, leaving zero chance for young couples to compete. It's criminal. And thankfully, soon it will be legally criminal.
