HHS report finds trans procedures don’t help kids

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) dropped a review of medical interventions for minors who think they’re ‘transgender’ — which concluded that the science doesn't justify the risks.

The details: The HHS report — which examined 17 systematic reviews of transgender treatments in minors — found that "gender-affirming" care comes with serious long-term risks to the child, including:

• infertility/sterility

• sexual dysfunction

• impaired bone density accrual

• adverse cognitive impacts

• cardiovascular disease

• metabolic disorders

• psychiatric disorders

• surgical complications

• regret

Evidence doesn’t back “gender-affirming” care: The review found that the quality of the evidence cited to justify transitioning a child is “very low.”

Fake consensus: The review found that the "consensus" of medical professionals in support of trans procedures for kids was severely overstated. And instead, it was "driven primarily by a small number of specialized committees, influenced by WPATH," not the wider medical community.

Guidelines were shady: Influential U.S. guidelines — namely, WPATH and Endocrine Society — were found to “lack developmental rigour and transparency.” WPATH was found to have "suppressed dissent and stifled debate."

Therapy is better: Despite often being mislabeled as "conversion therapy," the review found that psychotherapy shows no adverse effects and offers a safe, evidence-based alternative to often irreversible "gender-affirming" care.

Back up: President Trump signed an executive order in January titled ‘Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation’ which ordered HHS to conduct this review.

The last word goes to National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, who said:

• “Our duty is to protect our nation’s children — not expose them to unproven and irreversible medical interventions. We must follow the gold standard of science, not activist agendas.”

Trump protects religious liberty

President Donald Trump signed a new executive order yesterday establishing the Religious Liberty Commission — a sweeping initiative to protect and restore religious expression across the U.S.

The details: The commission will be chaired by Dr. Phil McGraw and include clergy, legal experts, and the White House Faith Office. It will focus on:

• Protecting houses of worship

• School prayer

• Parental rights in religious education

• First Amendment enforcement

President Trump told attendees at the event: “We’re bringing back religion in our country… Because for America to be a great nation, we must always be one nation under GOD."

Zoom out: The commission is part of the Trump administration's efforts to push back against years of anti-religious policies pushed by the Democrat party.

Back up: In February, Trump signed an executive order creating a Department of Justice task force to combat anti-Christian bias and reverse hostile Biden-era policies.

Religion in America: Today, 68% of Americans identify as Christian and 7% identify as other religions [2% Judaism, 1% Islam, 1% Buddhist, 3% other] — a total of 75%.

What comes next? The commission is scheduled to release a report on its findings by July 4th, 2026 — our nation’s 250th anniversary.
