There’s a rat in the Republican party named Thom Tillis, Senator from North Carolina.
Yesterday, Tillis effectively derailed President Trump’s pick for U.S. Attorney, Ed Martin. For those who don’t know, Martin has been serving as interim U.S. attorney since January and in that capacity has done a fantastic job of cleaning up crime in the nation’s capital. But Tillis opposes Martin because he’s spoken up for J6ers who were unfairly treated by the Biden regime.
Tillis is up for re-election in 2026. I hope you will join me in calling his office this morning and letting him know [politely] that Americans will not forget what he’s done.

Tariffs boost U.S. manufacturing

American manufacturers are reporting floods of new orders as President Donald Trump’s tariffs on China hand them a major boost.
Back up: President Trump hit Chinese imports with a 145% tariff last month — retaliation for decades of predatory and deceptive trade practices.
The details: American manufacturers are reaping the rewards of Trump's rebalancing:
Jergens Inc., which makes manufacturing tools, says: “We are swamped. We are running 24 hours a day, seven days a week in both Chicago and Cleveland."
Whirlpool, which manufactures home appliances, says its Asian competitors have had an unfair advantage, but "The tariffs will finally help create a level playing field."
Grand River Rubber in Ohio saw $5 million in new business in weeks, enough to expand and hire new employees.
SafeSource Direct, which makes synthetic rubber gloves, ramped up production, says after years of "getting stifled" by cheap Chinese competitors, "recently we've been getting a lot more inquiries."
AccuRounds, which makes shafts, valves, and other steel components, has staff working overtime to accommodate new orders.
The last word goes to President Trump, who predicted a surge in American manufacturing, saying last month:
“Jobs and factories will come roaring back into our country, and you see it happening already. We will supercharge our domestic industrial base… And ultimately, more production at home will mean stronger competition and lower prices for consumers.”

SCOTUS sides with Trump effort to ban transgenders from military

The Supreme Court handed the Trump administration a major win on Tuesday, overturning a lower court ruling that blocked his ban on transgender people serving in the U.S. military.
Back up: In January, President Trump signed an executive order that banned transgenders from serving in the military. In March, U.S. District Judge Benjamin Settle issued a nationwide preliminary injunction blocking the enforcement of this order.
The details: In a brief order released Tuesday afternoon, the Supreme Court granted Trump's emergency request to overturn the lower court ruling, after the administration argued it hindered the U.S. military readiness.
The three liberal justices — Sotomayor, Kagan, and Jackson — would deny Trump's request.
What Americans think: A recent poll found that most Americans, 54%, approve of Trump's ban on transgender troops.
What happens next: Litigation over the constitutionality of Trump's order will continue. But while that plays out, his ban can go into effect.
Why Trump's right on the issue: It is longstanding Department of Defense policy that service members are “[f]ree of medical conditions or physical defects that may reasonably be expected to require excessive time lost from duty for necessary treatment or hospitalization.” The military isn’t an office computer job. It’s the literal line of defense between us and our enemies. There is no room for radical gender ideology.

About two months ago, I was at a butcher in my neighborhood and saw a diagram of a cow, with all the cuts of meat labeled. And that gave me an idea for a t-shirt:
DOGE Butcher Shop — but instead of the cow, we use a pig. And the cuts of meat in the diagram represent all the waste, fraud, and abuse being butchered by the Trump admin.
Over the last few weeks, I worked with a really talented graphic designer who brought it to life. And on Friday I got a sample in the mail and I’m happy to say, it came out better than I’d hoped.
Also, my wife told me I had to mention that the t-shirt it’s printed on is Comfort Colors. Apparently, they’re well-known for high-quality materials. I just chose them because they are printed in the U.S. and made with 100 U.S. cotton.
