Good morning, folks! Last night, President Trump teased a “MAJOR TRADE DEAL” with a "BIG, AND HIGHLY RESPECTED, COUNTRY" today at 10 AM. This morning he confirmed: It’s the United Kingdom.
This marks the first trade agreement since the Liberation Day tariffs were imposed — and it’s a major win for the Trump administration as it rebalances America’s trade ties around the globe.
Fittingly, the announcement lands on V-E Day — the annual commemoration of Nazi Germany’s defeat and the end of WWII in Europe. 🇺🇸🇬🇧

What’s going on between India and Pakistan?

India and Pakistan are engaged in their most severe conflict in years, with missile strikes and drone attacks raising fears of a nuclear confrontation.
The details: The conflict ignited on April 22 when Islamic Pakistani terrorists killed 26 tourists in India's Kashmir region. India implicated elements of Pakistan’s government in the attacks.
In response, India launched "Operation Sindoor" on May 7, targeting alleged terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, resulting in 70 deaths.
Back up: Since their partition in 1947, India and Pakistan have fought multiple wars, primarily over the disputed Kashmir region.
Holy war: The India-Pakistan conflict is deeply rooted in religion. India is predominantly Hindu, while Pakistan is majority Muslim. Both nations claim Kashmir — a region with deep religious significance
What the White House is saying: When asked about the conflict, President Donald Trump told the press: "I know both very well, and I want to see them work it out. I want to see them stop... And if I can do anything to help, I will."
Big picture: Both nations have nuclear weapons. If a nuclear exchange were to occur, it could have massive global consequences.

Trump nominates MAHA favorite to be Surgeon General

President Trump has nominated Dr. Casey Means, a wellness influencer and key ally of Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as the new U.S. Surgeon General, replacing Dr. Janette Nesheiwat.
Who is Dr. Means? She’s a Stanford-educated physician who co-founded the health tech company Levels and co-authored the book "Good Energy" with her brother, Calley Means, who is a White House adviser.
Dr. Means and her brother have been vocal advocates for Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s 'Make America Healthy Again' (MAHA)movement.
What Trump is saying: The president announced the move on Truth Social, writing:
“Casey has impeccable ‘MAHA’ credentials, and will work closely with our wonderful Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., to ensure a successful implementation of our Agenda in order to reverse the Chronic Disease Epidemic, and ensure Great Health, in the future, for ALL Americans.”
What happened to Dr. Nesheiwat? Her nomination has faced intense scrutiny from Trump supporters due to her past support for masking and vaccinating children during the COVID pandemic
Zoom out: Notably, Nesheiwat is the sister-in-law of recently-ousted National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.
Big picture: Dr. Casey Means' nomination signals that President Trump is bullish on the MAHA movement.

About two months ago, I was at a butcher in my neighborhood and saw a diagram of a cow, with all the cuts of meat labeled. And that gave me an idea for a t-shirt:
DOGE Butcher Shop — but instead of the cow, we use a pig. And the cuts of meat in the diagram represent all the waste, fraud, and abuse being butchered by the Trump admin.
Over the last few weeks, I worked with a really talented graphic designer who brought it to life. And on Friday I got a sample in the mail and I’m happy to say, it came out better than I’d hoped.
Also, my wife told me I had to mention that the t-shirt it’s printed on is Comfort Colors. Apparently, they’re well-known for high-quality materials. I just chose them because they are printed in the U.S. and made with 100 U.S. cotton.
