Kamala mouthpiece, Mark Cuban, insults female Trump supporters

Kamala Harris surrogate Mark Cuban suggested women who work with Donald Trump are dumb and weak yesterday — igniting much-deserved backlash online.

The details: While appearing on daytime talk show The View yesterday, Mark Cuban claimed: "Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever. It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him.”

Back up: Cuban got rich during the early days of the internet and is best known for owning the Dallas Mavericks and his spot on ABC’s ‘Shark Tank.’

Blowback: Conservative women from Trump’s inner circle were quick to put the Shark Tank star in his place:

• Alina Habba, Trump's attorney and campaign surrogate, called Cuban's comments "disgusting and misogynistic" and added that Trump "surrounds himself with strong women like me. So, Mark Cuban, you can go to hell."

• Riley Gaines, a college swimmer-turned-conservative activist, posted a video on X, saying: “If you are a healthcare provider, if you are a school teacher, if you are a U.S. military member — and you are a woman and a Trump supporter — then to Mark Cuban, you are stupid and weak."

• Sage Steele, a sports broadcaster, said: "I have known you and respected you and loved you for a really long time... But what you just said there is disrespectful and it crosses the line."

• Alveda King, Martin Luther King's niece and Trump-ally, said: "Cuban's words are mean, sad, and misogynistic, and the left can't even define what a woman is."

• Kellyanne Conway, former Senior Counsel to Trump, said: “Whether its Joe Biden calling us ‘garbage’ or Mark Cuban denying our strength and intelligence, I'm here to stand up and speak up for the tens of millions of strong, intelligent women who November 5th will vote for peace, prosperity, security, safety, fairness."

Cuban responded to the controversy with a lengthy X post, which attempted to clear up his statement, saying, in part:

• “I’m happy to clarify that 1. I know many strong, intelligent women voting for Trump. Including in my extended family. I’m certainly not saying female voters are not smart , strong and intelligent. 2. I know he has worked with strong intelligent women, like Elaine Chao, Kelly Anne, Ivanka and many others”

Trump weighs in: The GOP nominee defended conservative women in a post on X, saying:

• “Mark Cuban, a really dumb guy… is now out there saying that I don’t surround myself with strong women. Actually, he is very wrong, I surround myself with the strongest of women - With the understanding that ALL women are great, whether strong or not strong.”

Big picture: This message about conservative women comes less than 48 hours after Joe Biden called Trump supporters “garbage” and less than a week after Tim Walz compared Trump’s MSG rally to a “Nazi” event. Democrats are lashing out. What happened to the campaign of “joy”?
