Happy Friday, Wake Up Right fam! I’m a little tardy for the patriot party this morning, but I come bearing good news…
Nancy Pelosi announced yesterday that she will not seek re-election. This iconic movie scene immediately came to mind…

SCOTUS says no trans on passports

The Supreme Court handed President Donald Trump a major victory, allowing his administration to move forward with its plan to remove the “X” gender marker from U.S. passports and require all applicants to list biological sex only.
The details: In a 6–3 unsigned order, the Court temporarily paused a lower-court injunction that had blocked the policy, signaling that the justices believe the administration is likely to prevail once the case reaches them on the merits.
The majority wrote that listing sex at birth “no more offends equal protection” than listing someone’s country of birth because both are “historical facts” the government can verify.
The ruling lets the State Department immediately enforce Trump’s directive, issued as part of his broader effort to “restore biological truth” across federal agencies.
Back up: This lunacy began under the Biden regime, when it added the "X" gender category in 2022 – framed as a civil-rights milestone.
Thoughts from the peanut-[brained] gallery: Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, joined by Justices Sotomayor and Kagan, warned that the Court was greenlighting “imminent, concrete injury” to transgender and nonbinary Americans.
Big picture: This marks a massive victory in Trump's greater effort to unwind the web of radical gender ideology – including in schools, sports, military, and more.
What happens next? The underlying class-action lawsuit continues in lower courts, but until then, Trump has full authority to enforce biological-sex-only passports nationwide.

Trump strikes deal to lower drug more prices

President Donald Trump announced major new deals with pharmaceutical giants Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk to sharply lower prices on blockbuster weight-loss and diabetes drugs.
The details: The Trump administration announced on Thursday that drug manufacturers will offer Americans popular GLP-1 weight loss medications at a significantly discounted rate when purchased through TrumpRx.
The numbers:
Wegovy: $1,350 → $350/month
Ozempic: $1,000 → $350/month
Zepbound: $1,068 → $346/month
Future oral GLP-1 drugs: $150/month
Medicare/Medicaid savings: Federal programs will cover the drugs at $245 per month, far below the Biden-era pricing proposals.
Additional price cuts:
Eli Lilly’s migraine drug Emgality: $433 → $299
Eli Lilly’s diabetes drug Trulicity: $598 → $389
Novo Nordisk insulin products NovoLog/Tresiba will cost $35/month
U.S. investments: Trump also locked in major investment pledges – including $10 billion from Novo Nordisk for U.S. manufacturing and $27 billion from Eli Lilly to produce future GLP-1 pills in America. In other words: U.S. JOBS.
Back up: In recent months, Trump has also locked in "most favored nation" pricing deals with Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and others to offer a range of drugs – from cancer therapies, to cardiovascular, to fertility – at lower costs.
Zoom out: The U.S. has long paid the highest drug prices in the world – sometimes up to $1,000 more than in Europe.
What’s next? TrumpRX officially launches in January.
The last word goes to Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who said:
"The American public, because of this agreement, will lose 125 million pounds by this time next year, so it is going to have dramatic effects on human health in this country."
