AOC abandons her pronouns

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was the subject of online scrutiny on Thursday after social media users noticed she removed her gender pronouns from her X profile bio.

Ideological ritual: To leftists, stating your gender pronouns is the ultimate sign of deference to radical left-wing ideology.

Before and After: X user @EndWokeness called attention to the change in AOC’s bio:

• Before: “US Representative, NY-14 (BX & Queens). In a modern, moral, & wealthy society, no American should be too poor to live. 💯 People-Funded, no lobbyist 💰️ . She/her.”

• After: “US Congresswoman, NY-14. In a modern, moral, and wealthy society, no American should be too poor to live. People-Funded, takes no lobbyist 💰️ . Personal account.”

Zoom out: AOC fancies herself a staunch transgender ally. When the Biden regime passed sweeping reforms to Title IX in April that aimed to protect "gender identity" in schools, she said it didn't go far enough.

Reaction from the right: Riley Gaines, former college swimmer who advocates against men in women's sports, said: "How will we know what to call AOC now that her pronouns in her bio are gone?!?!?!"

Back up: AOC had a similar issue in 2022 when her followers noticed she pulled her pronouns from her Instagram page, leading to her apologizing and claiming they "fell off."

Big picture: Transgender ideology emerged as a major issue in the 2024 election. An exit poll of over 3,400 voters who did not support Kamala labeled her focus on transgender issues as a top reason for their disapproval.

AOC has not addressed the change in her bio.

Make America Healthy Again

President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to serve as his administration’s Director of Health and Human Services (HHS).

The details: Trump shared the news on Truth Social, writing:

• “For too long, Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation when it comes to Public Health… Mr. Kennedy will restore these Agencies to the traditions of Gold Standard Scientific Research, and beacons of Transparency, to end the Chronic Disease epidemic, and to Make America Great and Healthy Again!”

What does the HHS director do? Kennedy will oversee the CDC, FDA, NIH, and other federal health agencies. He will manage physical and mental health policies, public health, and welfare programs.

Much-needed disruption: Kennedy has pledged to investigate the causes of chronic health issues like cancer and diabetes. He’s also committed to rooting out corruption in big pharma and the federal health bureaucracy.

Back up: Kennedy initially ran for president as an Independent, but in August, he suspended his campaign and endorsed Donald Trump.

Zoom out: Experts predict that by 2030, nearly 50% of U.S. adults will be severely obese.

‘Vaccine denier’: Critics call Kennedy a conspiracy theorist because he has raised concerns over the vaccine schedule given to newborn children and their possible links to negative health outcomes.

Markets react: The announcement led to declines in stock prices of the world's biggest pharma companies, including Moderna, AstraZeneca, and GSK.
