Trump to use ‘national emergency’ to conduct mass deportations

President-elect Donald Trump hinted Monday that he would declare a national emergency to use the military to execute mass deportations of illegal immigrants.

The details: Trump replied "TRUE!!" on Truth Social in response to Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton's post, claiming the president-elect was “prepared to declare a national emergency and will use military assets to reverse the Biden invasion through a mass deportation program.”

Back up: During his first term, Trump declared a national emergency at the border in 2019 after Congress refused to fund his plans to build a border wall and increase border security.

  • When Biden took office, he revoked the emergency order, and border wall construction was halted.

Zoom out: Under Biden and Kamala, more than 10 million illegal aliens entered the United States.

Where Americans stand: A poll conducted right before the election found that 58% of American voters support mass deportations.

"Flooding" the zone: Trump's incoming Border Czar, Tom Homan, says he plans to "flood" U.S. sanctuary cities with ICE agents if Democrat politicians refuse to allow local police to assist — a task that may strain the agency’s resources. Trump declaring a national emergency would give Homan military assets to ease the strain.

Big picture: Trump looks poised to deliver on his promise to “run the biggest deportation operation this country’s ever seen.”

NY Times accidentally admits RFK Jr. is right about Froot Loops

The New York Times faced widespread ridicule online after its article meant to “fact check” Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s claims about ingredients in Froot Loops ended up validating him.

The details: The NY Times published an article over the weekend that aimed to discredit Kennedy’s crusade against corruption inside the food industry and used his past critiques of Froot Loops cereal as an example…

Back up: Kennedy has on several occasions used Froot Loops as an example of a company that puts different ingredients in its U.S. cereal versus its Canadian product.

The fact-check: The NY Times wrote:

  • “Mr. Kennedy has singled out Froot Loops as an example of a product with too many artificial ingredients, questioning why the Canadian version has fewer than the U.S. version. But he was wrong. The ingredient list is roughly the same, although Canada’s has natural colorings made from blueberries and carrots while the U.S. product contains red dye 40, yellow 5 and blue 1 as well as Butylated hydroxytoluene.

See?? The ingredients are the same! Except that in Canada, they use color from fruits and vegetables, and in the U.S., they use chemicals. 🤦‍♂️

Artificial colors: Canada regulates chemicals like Red Dye 40 because of its potential health risks to kids, such as hyperactivity, allergies, and long-term effects.

The reactions online were swift and merciless:

Big picture: No matter how much mainstream media like the NY Times kicks and screams, RFK Jr. will be Director of Health and Human Services. And he has a mandate to “Make America Healthy Again.”
