Trump floats sedition after Dem lawmakers tell military to defy orders

President Donald Trump is blasting a new Democrat video that urges troops and intel officials to “refuse illegal orders,” calling it seditious and hinting it could warrant criminal prosecution.

The details: A video from six Democrat lawmakers with military/intel backgrounds directly addresses U.S. service members and CIA personnel, claiming the Trump administration is “pitting” them against American citizens.

• Participants: Sens. Elissa Slotkin (MI) and Mark Kelly (AZ); Reps. Chris Deluzio (PA), Maggie Goodlander (NH), Chrissy Houlahan (PA) and Jason Crow (CO).

• Their message: “You must refuse illegal orders… No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or our Constitution… your vigilance is critical, and know that we have your back.”

“Illegal” orders: The lawmakers don’t specify any particular “illegal” order. Their true intention was to sow disorder and break the chain of command between the Commander-in-Chief and the military.

Commander-in-Chief responds: President Trump responded to the Democrats’ message, writing on Truth Social:

• “This is really bad, and Dangerous to our Country. Their words cannot be allowed to stand. SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR FROM TRAITORS!!! LOCK THEM UP??? President DJT”

• He followed up, writing: “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!”

FWIW: Treason is a crime punishable by death. Sedition is punishable with up to 20 years in federal prison.

What lawmakers are saying:

• 🔵 Democrat Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called Trump's comments "deadly serious" despite his own past threats against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

• 🔴 Republican Speaker Mike Johnson agreed that Trump made "a factual statement" by calling the Democrats' video seditious.

New report debunks ‘gender-affirming care’

Transgender treatments to alter a child's biological sex pose serious long-term risks, according to a blockbuster report from the Trump administration.

The details: The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released a peer-reviewed report warning that transgender procedures often referred to as “gender-affirming care” – namely puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, surgeries – carry “significant, long-term” harms.

• The risks: The report found the procedures “carry risk of significant harms including infertility/sterility, sexual dysfunction, impaired bone density accrual, adverse cognitive impacts, cardiovascular disease and metabolic disorders, psychiatric disorders, surgical complications, and regret.”

• The report was authored by nine doctors and PhDs tied to MIT, Duke, the Society for Evidence Based Gender Medicine, the Manhattan Institute and others.

Quote: HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. blasted the American Medical Association and American Academy of Pediatrics for selling “the lie” that these interventions are good for children, calling it “not medicine – it’s malpractice.”

What the other side is saying: HHS says it invited dissenting groups to review the study. The Endocrine Society insisted that youth hormones and blockers are "rare" but improve the trans child's well-being.

Democrats fight to trans kids: The Supreme Court had to step in last month and uphold a Tennessee law banning "gender-affirming care" for minors after Democrats tried to fight it.

Big picture: The Trump administration is making it very clear: There are only two genders and they're determined at birth.
