I have a lot to be thankful for this year – including you all, the Wake Up Right fam. These past few months have been a juggling act – new fatherhood, a full-time career, and this newsletter that I genuinely love writing. I know the timing hasn’t been the most consistent lately, and I appreciate your patience more than you know.

I put my whole heart into this daily e-mail. If I don’t finish before work, I finish on my lunch break. I don’t rush to hit a delivery time because I want it to feel worth opening every morning.

Genesis Mission

President Donald Trump signed an executive order creating the “Genesis Mission,” a Manhattan Project–level push to vault America forward in the global AI race.

The details: The order directs federal agencies to unlock government datasets, expand computing power, and deploy AI inside real scientific work — from energy research to medical discovery.

• The mission aims to fuse federal scientific datasets to train advanced AI models and create AI agents capable of automating research, accelerating discoveries that normally take years.

What's the point? Secretary of Energy Chris Wright gets to the core of this mission, explaining that the private sector is currently developing AI models that focus on language, business, and customer service. The Genesis Mission would use those robust models to "focus on scientific discovery, engineering advancements. And to do that, you need the data sets that are contained across our national labs."

Back up: The initiative expands on the National Artificial Intelligence Research Resource (NAIRR), formed in 2020, which partnered with OpenAI, Google, AMD, and Nvidia.

Timeline: Within 90 days, the Department of Energy must inventory private-sector compute capacity for public-private collaboration.

Related: Trump warned that state-led regulations on AI development could be a "disaster" that would hinder the U.S.'s AI goals and is considering having his DOJ challenge any such regulations.

Scale of effort: The executive order states: “In this pivotal moment, the challenges we face require a historic national effort, comparable in urgency and ambition to the Manhattan Project that was instrumental to our victory in World War II.”

The last word: The order states: “The Genesis Mission will dramatically accelerate scientific discovery, strengthen national security, secure energy dominance, enhance workforce productivity, and multiply the return on taxpayer investment into research and development.”

Trans dude steals womens’ championship

A major women’s strength championship is backtracking after it awarded Jammie Booker – a biological male – the World’s Strongest Woman 2025 title.

The details: The details Booker won the Women’s Open at the Official Strongman Games World Championships in Arlington, Texas, edging out British star Andrea Thompson.

Whiplash: Organizers alleged they did not know Booker was transgender and stripped him of the title after it was revealed. They issued a rare public statement announcing a full disqualification and a recalculation of standings, which included:

• “Competitors can only compete in the category of the biological sex recorded at birth.”

More fallout: Booker’s sponsor, Iron Ape, cut ties, accusing him of “misrepresenting critical information” to judges and gaining an unfair advantage.

Zoom out: This episode is yet another example of transgender biological men invading womens' spaces – something not just accepted, but championed by Democrats.

Big picture: Since re-taking office, President Donald Trump has taken major action to reign in transgender lawlessness, including: un-doing the Biden regime's re-writing of "sex" to including gender identity, banning trans procedures for minors, and prohibiting trans biological men from participating in girls school sports.

The last word goes to three-time world champion Rebecca Roberts, who blasted the situation as an “attack on fairness,” writing: “Women’s categories were created for a reason… what happened this weekend wasn’t transparent.”
