Wake Up Right - November 6, 2024

Today’s newsletter is sponsored by Freedom2o

Around midnight last night, I fell asleep in the middle of election night coverage, literally with my laptop on my lap. But thankfully, I woke up at 1:30 AM, just in time to witness the greatest comeback in American political history.

  • 🇺🇸 Donald Trump has been elected 47th President of the USA

  • Soros-backed Los Angeles DA Gascon loses re-election

  • 🪴 Measures to legalize weed failed in FL, SD, ND, passed in NE

Trump completes the greatest comeback of all time

Donald Trump has defeated Kamala Harris and will become the 47th president of the United States, delivering him a triumphant second term and return to the White House.

The details: After decisive victories in the battleground states of North Carolina and Georgia early in the evening, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin were called for Trump well after midnight — enough Electoral College votes to deliver Trump victory.

  • Arizona, Nevada, and Michigan are all still counting ballots, but Trump has a healthy lead in all three states.

Electoral College: As I write this, Trump is on track to win over 300 electoral college votes and sweep all seven swing states.

Popular vote: As I write this, Trump has a strong lead in the popular vote, with 71,141,182 votes to Kamala's 66,209,169. This would make him the first Republican to win it since 2004.

Trump reacts: The president-elect addressed his supporters at a victory celebration at his West Palm Beach resort, saying: “To every citizen, I will fight for you, for your family and your future. Every single day. I will be fighting for you. And with every breath in my body, I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe, and prosperous America that our children deserve and that you deserve.”

Kamala doesn’t react: Late in the evening, Kamala’s campaign manager took the stage at [what would have been her] victory party and told supporters to go home and get some rest. The VP did not address the attendees.

Back up: Since 2021, Democrats have done everything possible to prevent Trump from returning to the White House. They impeached him when he was out of office. They tried to put him in jail. After he won the Republican nomination, they tried to kick him off the ballot. And let's not forget, on two occasions, radicalized Democrat civilians tried to kill him.

How did he do it? Trump focused on getting men to the polls, reaching younger voters, and building a multicultural coalition of new voters. Exit polls show:

  • Men were +10 for Trump, up from +8 in 2020.

  • Hispanic men were +10 for Trump, after going +23 for Biden in 2020.

  • Hispanic women were +24 for Kamala, way below Biden's +39 in 2020.

  • 18-29-year-olds voted +13 for Kamala, after going +24 for Biden in 2020.

  • Women were just +10 for Kamala, down from +15 for Biden in 2020.

Trump’s Avengers: Key to Trump’s expanded coalition were endorsements from much-loved figures like Elon Musk, Tulsi Gabbard, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, and Joe Rogan — all of whom were recently Democrats.

Let’s give the last word to the man of the hour, President-elect Donald John Trump, who last night promised: “This will truly be the Golden Age of America. This is a magnificent victory for the American people that will allow us to Make America Great Again.”

Savor this moment. You deserve it.

Freedom2o: Bottled with Liberal Tears

Are you tired of worrying about microplastics, fluoride, and heavy metals contaminating your drinking water? Are you tired of giving your money to woke companies that hate you? So am I.

That’s why I’ve partnered with the good folks at Freedom2o. Both in taste and quality, their water is simply better than the other brands.

Top quality: Each bottle of Freedom2o is:

  • 🔄 purified through reverse osmosis to remove contaminants

  • ☀️ treated with UV light & ozonation to eliminate harmful microorganisms

  • 🎵 tuned to 432 Hz, the ideal harmonious frequency

  • 🇺🇸 is made in the USA!

My favorite part: Every bottle has a unique, unapologetically conservative slogan, like “Water for Deplorables” and “Bottled With Liberal Tears.” 🤣

Added bonus: Freedom2o’s founder is part of the Wake Up Right fam! I encourage everyone to try Freedom2o.

Republicans take the Senate, lead the House

It looks like the cavalry will be coming for Donald Trump, as Republicans are poised to retake control of the Senate and maintain control of the House.

The Senate: Republicans have officially gained control of the Senate after flipping seats in West Virginia [Jim Justice] and Ohio [Bernie Moreno], giving them a slight 51-seat majority. However, six races are still waiting to be called, and that majority will likely increase.

  • While the Senate requires 60 votes to pass legislation, this majority will allow Trump to clear his administration appointees and appoint lower court judges without much resistance.

The House: With several races still waiting on a decision, Republicans are currently projected to hold a razor-thin 218 to 217 majority in the House.

Supreme significance: There are currently three Supreme Court Justices in their 70s — conservatives Clarence Thomas [76] and Sam Alito [74], as well as liberal Sonya Sotomayor [70]. If any step down, the Senate majority gives Trump a clear path to replace them with a strong conservative.

Big picture: Holding both chambers of Congress is critical to helping Trump pass his policy agenda. I’ll be holding my breath until the House is officially in our control.
