Good morning, folks! In yesterday’s newsletter, I offered a rare critique of the Trump presidency – suggesting it was time for the Commander-in-Chief to “come home” and focus on “America’s affordability crisis.”
A few hours later, James Blair, the president’s 2024 political director, told POLITICO that Trump will be “very, very focused on prices and cost of living” over the next year.
🇺🇸 Music to our ears. Thank you, Mr. President.

Epstein was offered a deal IF he accused Trump

Jeffrey Epstein's former cellmate alleges that federal prosecutors offered the sex predator a deal to walk free – IF he accused then-President Donald Trump of being involved with crimes.
The details: According to a newly obtained pardon petition filed by ex-cop Nicholas Tartaglione, who was Epstein’s former cellmate: “Prosecutors… told Epstein that if he said President Trump was involved with Esptein’s crimes he would walk free. in a petition to be pardoned.”
Epstein told him lead prosecutor Maurene Comey – YES, daughter of disgraced former FBI Director James Comey – said he didn’t need to prove anything “as long as President Trump’s people could not disprove it.”
Epstein reportedly told Tartaglione that Trump “was not involved” in any of his crimes.
Epstein was found dead in his cell on August 10, 2019, weeks after his arrest on sex-trafficking charges.
Zoom out: Maurene’s father was a key figure in launching the now-disproven Trump-Russia collusion hoax. So it would appear “getting Trump” was a family affair.
Step forward: Maurene was fired from her position this past July. James was indicted in September for making a false statement and obstructing Congress.
Real talk from G: I’m just looking at the timeline, according to Tartaglione… Epstein says he won’t lie about Trump… A few weeks later, he’s dead. Hm.

Trump gets back to business

President Donald Trump used his Wednesday address at the American Business Forum in Miami to highlight a string of economic wins and encourage Americans to hold tight because “you’re going to see it even more so over the next 12 months.”
The details: Trump marked the one-year anniversary of his 2024 election win by drawing attention to big economic wins, like:
🧰 Jobs: 1.9 million more natural-born Americans are employed, while 100,000 federal workers left the payroll.
⛏️ Wages: Since January, miner pay rose by $5,000, construction by $2,200, and factory worker by $1,300
🥚 Egg prices: Down 85% since March – reversing a 147% spike under Biden.
🏠️ Mortgage costs: Dropped $3,000 this year as interest rates fell to 3.75–4%, the lowest in three years.
🦃 Prices down: Walmart’s Thanksgiving dinner bundle for 10 people will cost under $40, compared to $70 last year.
Trump acknowledges the elephant in the room: In yesterday’s newsletter, I shared my opinion that in the wake of Republicans’ election losses to Democrats this week, the President should “come home” and focus more attention on affordability. Trump said:
“It’s really easy to win elections when you talk about the facts, and we have more people working now than at any time in the history of our country… It’s wonderful to [achieve it], but if people don’t talk about them, then you can do not so well in elections.”
“We have the greatest economy right now. A lot of people don’t see that. But if you look at what’s happening with all the factories, AI, auto plants all over the country being built.”
“And I think you’re going to see it even more so over the next 12 months, that this is the golden age of America.”
The numbers: While the government shutdown delayed third-quarter GDP data, the Atlanta Fed's GDPNow model estimates it grew by 4% – a strong sign for the economy.
The big picture: Trump’s Miami speech was both a victory lap and rallying cry – encouraging Republicans to focus on economic messaging and “sell success” heading into the 2026 midterms.
