I don’t know about you, but I’ll trade Tulsi Gabbard for Liz Cheney any day.

Trump will appear on Joe Rogan’s podcast

It’s official. Donald Trump will appear on Joe Rogan’s podcast later this week, after months of speculation,

The details: A Trump campaign official confirmed that Trump will record the interview on Friday at Rogan's studio in Austin, Texas.

What’s the big deal? Rogan is widely considered the most influential podcaster in the United States. His show has 17.5 million subscribers on YouTube and more than 14 million on Spotify. His audience skews independent, young, and male — an audience Trump has courted this campaign season.

Rogan’s politics: One reason he’s so popular is he’s not overtly political, although, in the past, he’s supported Bernie Sanders and in 2024 said Robert F. Kennedy Jr was the only candidate “that makes sense to me,” but stopped short of an endorsement.

• Since the COVID-19 pandemic and the rise of woke politics, he has become a vocal supporter of free speech and medical freedom.

What to expect: Rogan has criticized Trump in the past, even once calling him an “existential threat to democracy.” But in recent years, he’s often complimentary of the former president and defends him against media and legal attacks.

Zoom out: Trump has made podcasts a cornerstone of his 2024 campaign as he attempts to win the support of young male voters. He’s appeared on podcasts like Theo Vonn, Patrick Bet-David, Full Send, and Andrew Schulz — just to name a few.

What about Kamala? Her team has reportedly also been in talks to appear on Rogan’s podcast. I don’t see this happening. One, now it’ll look like she’s tailing Trump. Two, she does not have the ability to sit for a two-hour, unscripted podcast with a guy that won’t let her get away with pre-scripted non-answers.

Big picture: In politics, like sports, you want to peak at just the right time — you want to run your best plays in the 4th quarter. Trump, from serving fries at McDonald’s to this Rogan interview, is running his best plays when it matters most.

18 million have already voted. Here’s what we know.

With two weeks until Election Day, more than 18 million Americans have already voted—either in person or by mail—according to new data.

The numbers: At this time in 2020, Democrats were dominating early voting by 22%. This year, Republicans have narrowed that gap to just 10%, according to the University of Florida’s non-partisan Election Lab.

State by state: Some swing states measure early voting by party, giving us insight into where the trends lie:

• 🔴 Nevada: GOP 39%, Dems 36.7%

• 🔵 Pennsylvania: GOP 28.6%, Dem 61.7%

• 🔴 Arizona: GOP 41.9%, Dem 36.3%

• 🔵 North Carolina: GOP 33.9%, Dem 34.5%

Measuring vs 2020: In all four states, Republicans are outperforming where they were at this time in 2020.

• 🔴 Nevada: +6% shift toward GOP

• 🔴 Pennsylvania: +8% shift toward GOP

• 🔴 Arizona: +4.5% shift toward GOP

• 🔴 North Carolina: +3.5% shift toward GOP

Trump’s call to action: At a rally in Georgia last week, Trump said: “If you have a ballot, return it immediately. If not, go tomorrow or as soon as you can. Go to the polls and vote. Then, for the next 21 days, get everyone you know to get out and vote.”

Zoom out: According to the Real Clear Average of battleground polling, Trump is currently leading in all seven states.

Big picture strategy: When you cast your vote early, the Trump campaign can focus its efforts on turning out voters who have not voted yet.
