Wake Up Right - October 29, 2024
Good morning, folks! We know in our gut the fake news media is biased AF against Donald Trump. But sometimes, it’s nice to see the numbers to back it up. Thankfully, the folks over at the Media Research Center have us covered. They analyzed all the coverage from CBS, NBC, and ABC since Biden dropped out of the race and found:
🔵 78% of Kamala’s coverage is positive
🔴 85% of Trump’s coverage is negative
That’s why outlets like this newsletter exist — to do the work the mass media won’t do. If you’d like to help me spread real news, share this link with your friends and family and tell them to join the Wake Up Right fam!

Jeff Bezos slams his own left-wing newspaper
Jeff Bezos, owner of the Washington Post newspaper, penned an article bashing the bias in the news industry — days after not allowing his paper to endorse Kamala Harris for president.
The details: Bezos’ article, titled ‘The hard truth: Americans don’t trust the news media,’ argues that the Washington Post and other news outlets are "failing" to earn readers’ trust and outright admits: “Most people believe the media is biased.”
Bezos continued: “The Washington Post and the New York Times win prizes, but increasingly we talk only to a certain elite. More and more, we talk to ourselves.”
What Americans think: In his article, Bezos cites a recent Gallup poll that found Americans’ trust in media is at an all-time low of 31%.
Back up: Over the weekend, we learned that the paper, for the first time in 36 years, would not endorse a presidential candidate. In every year since abstaining in 1988, it has endorsed the Democrat.
Ok, but… Before we jump too far into Bezos’ muscular arms, do not forget that this is the same Washington Post that the CIA used to launder lies about Donald Trump during the Russiagate hoax.
Hedging bets? Some have suggested Bezos, like other corporate leaders [see Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai calling Trump to compliment his McDonald’s campaign stop], sees the same polling you and I see and is trying to ingratiate himself with the potential 47th president.
Big picture: Whether it is self-preservation or a true come-to-God moment, it's a very bad look for the Kamala Harris campaign, which has now lost the endorsement of the Washington Post, LA Times, the Teamsters Union… and those are just the few I can rattle off the top of my head.

Apologies, I accidentally used the wrong link in Friday’s newsletter. This has been corrected.

Pennsylvania DA sues to stop Elon Musk’s get-out-the-vote effort
Philadelphia's Soros-funded District Attorney Larry Krasner is suing Elon Musk, alleging his America PAC is running an illegal lottery by offering $1 million to random voters who sign his petition to support the First and Second Amendments.
The details: Krasner claims Musk's PAC is luring Pennsylvania and other swing-state voters to disclose personal information in exchange for cash in violation of state law.
Krasner’s lawsuit claims Musk is “lulling” citizens “to give up their personal identifying information and make a political pledge in exchange for the chance to win $1 million.”
Who is Larry Krasner? His run for DA was funded by George Soros, known for helping elect radical, left-wing DAs across the country.
Zoom out: Musk’s giveaway does not require voters to pledge to any political party. His goal is to drive voter registration in the state.
Back up: Last month, Musk announced his America PAC would pay $47 for each referral of a registered voter who signs his petition. On October 19, he upped the ante, adding a daily $1 million price until election day.
Related: Thousands of suspected fraudulent voter registration forms, all with the same handwriting, were received in Lancaster Country, Pennsylvania, last week, according to election officials.
Big picture: Early voting data shows Republicans have made massive gains compared to the 2020 election, narrowing the gap from [Dems +41%] in 2020 to just [Dems +27%] today. This is why the Democrats in PA are panicking.
Call to action: Today is the last day of Early voting in Pennsylvania. If you’re a PA voter, and there’s even a SLIGHT chance you won’t be able to vote on November 5, make sure you get out NOW and vote!
