Biden calls 75 million Americans ‘garbage’ as Kamala turns up rhetoric

Joe Biden called Donald Trump's supporters "garbage" during a now-viral campaign call, as Kamala Harris and other Democrats turn up the dark rhetoric about their Republican opponents.

The details: Joe Biden held a virtual campaign call yesterday with Voto Latino, where he criticized Donald Trump’s weekend rally at Madison Square Garden (MSG) for a comedian making an off-color joke that Puerto Rico was a “floating island of garbage.”

• Biden said: “The only garbage I see floating out there is [Trump’s] supporters."

Back up: In recent days, Kamala Harris has repeatedly called Donald Trump a “fascist” while her running-mate, Tim Walz, called his MSG rally a “Nazi” event.

Damage control: Shortly after the insult was made, the White House tried to clean it up, with a spokesman claiming Biden was talking about Trump’s supporter’s rhetoric.

• Biden also tried to spin from his X account, writing: “Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump's supporter.”

The MLB might not use instant replay to call balls and strikes, but we can — and the tape does not support the spin.

Conflicting messages: While Joe Biden’s hateful comments were going viral, Kamala was delivering her closing argument speech at The Ellipse in D.C., where she pushed a message of “unity” and asked Americans to choose “a different path.”

The last word goes to Donald Trump, who wrote on Truth Social: “While I am running a campaign of positive solutions to save America, Kamala Harris is running a campaign of hate. She has spent all week comparing her political opponents to the most evil mass murderers in history. Now, on top of everything, Joe Biden calls our supporters ‘garbage.’ You can’t lead America if you don’t love the American People. Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have shown they are both unfit to be President of the United States… It is my desire to be the President of all the people.”

Trump wants compensation fund for victims of illegal alien crime

Donald Trump announced his plan to create a compensation fund for victims of illegal alien crime, financed by seized assets from criminal gangs and drug cartels.

The details: Trump held a morning press conference from his Mar-a-Lago estate yesterday, joined by mothers who have lost their children at the hands of illegal aliens, where he announced:

• “[W]e will be seizing the assets of the criminal gangs and drug cartels, and we will use those assets to create a compensation fund to provide restitution for the victims of migrant crime.”

Testimonial: Trump was joined by Tammy Nobles, whose young, autistic daughter was brutally murdered by an illegal alien MS-13 gang member who crossed the border in 2022.

• Nobles said: "The Biden-Harris administration did not do their job. If they would have done their job — made that one call to El Salvador — my daughter would still be alive today. Kayla was a very beautiful young lady inside and out… And her life was ripped from her.”

Back up: At Trump's Madison Square Garden rally over the weekend, he announced: “I’m hereby calling for the death penalty for any migrant that kills an American citizen or law enforcement officer.”

Zoom out: The National Border Patrol Council endorsed Trump for president earlier this month.

Big picture: According to a brand new New York Times poll, 15% of Americans say immigration is their top voting issue [third highest next to economy and abortion], and in that poll, Trump leads Kamala by 11% on the issue.
