Welcome back, folks! Hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day Weekend. While you were grilling burgers, the libs were cooking up conspiracy theories that Trump was dying because he ended the summer with a few days out of the public eye.
That’s how deep the obsession runs: if he’s out in public, they’re triggered. If he lays low, they’re triggered. Either way, Trump lives rent-free in their heads.

Trump uses ‘Pocket Rescissions’ to claw back wasteful foreign aid

President Donald Trump has canceled $4.9 billion in foreign aid previously approved by Congress, using a rarely invoked executive branch power called “pocket rescissions.”
The details: Last week, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) released a letter sent from President Trump to Speaker Mike Johnson informing him that he was making 15 rescissions, totaling $4.9 billion. The cuts affect programs in the State Department, USAID, and international aid programs.
The biggest chunk comes from USAID's $3.2 billion fund that supported climate change, DEI, and LGBTQ initiatives.
Other cuts included $322 million to the Democracy Fund [which promotes "gender responsive governance" and LGBT projects] and over $800 million from United Nations peacekeeping organizations due to concerns over abuses of funds and sexual exploitation by peacekeepers.
What are pocket recissions? It’s a rarely used budget tool, outlined in section 1012(a) of the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974, that essentially lets a president block previously approved spending by withholding the funds until they expire at the end of the fiscal year (September 31).
What they're saying: A spokesman for OMB said, “For the first time in nearly 50 years, the President is using his authority… [to cancel] woke and weaponized foreign aid.”
Opposition: Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer blasted the move as "unlawful,” and RINO Senator Susan Collins called it “a clear violation of the law.”
Back up: Trump’s second term has marked the most aggressive rollback in decades – slashing $8.3B by signing the Recissions Act of 2025 and gutting billions in USAID and foreign aid earlier this year.
The last word goes to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who said: “None of these programs are in America’s interest, which is why the President is taking decisive action to put America and Americans first."

Another bloody weekend in Chicago, as Dems oppose help from Trump

At least 54 people were shot – seven fatally – in Chicago over Labor Day weekend, underscoring the city’s crime crisis as Mayor Brandon Johnson vows to block President Trump’s federal intervention.
The details: The gunfire was a result of several unrelated incidents across the city, and most cases resulted in no arrests. The victims included at least two women.
Osiris King, a Chicago native, told Fox News: "Like these kids are carrying guns, like around the age of eight years old. And they're killing other eight-year-old kids with guns. It's insane to me."
Back up: Crime wave has defined Chicago’s summer with 22 shot, 2 killed on Memorial Day weekend; 55 shot, 6 killed over July 4
Trump wants to help: After successfully reigning in crime in Washington, D.C., Trump has made clear he plans to tackle crime in Chicago next, preparing to deploy federal law enforcement to the city to bolster immigration enforcement and tackle gun violence. He's reportedly looking at using a military base 35 miles outside the Windy City to support immigration operations.
The numbers: Carjackings have fallen 87% in D.C., and violent crime is down 45% since the National Guard was deployed to D.C.
What are Dems saying? On Saturday, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson signed an executive order prohibiting Chicago police from cooperating with National Guard or federal agents and said, “We will protect our city, and we will protect our people.” So far, he hasn’t protected anyone from violent crime.
The last word goes to the Chicago Alderman, Raymond Lopez [a Democrat] who blasted Johnson and Chicago Gov. Pritzker, saying: “How many victims are we comfortable with? Because that’s ultimately the subtext of what the mayor and the governor are saying."

A few months ago, I was at a butcher in my neighborhood and saw a diagram of a cow, with all the cuts of meat labeled. And that gave me an idea for a t-shirt:
DOGE Butcher Shop — but instead of the cow, we use a pig. And the cuts of meat in the diagram represent all the waste, fraud, and abuse being butchered by the Trump admin.
Over the last few weeks, I worked with a really talented graphic designer who brought it to life. And on Friday I got a sample in the mail and I’m happy to say, it came out better than I’d hoped.
Also, my wife told me I had to mention that the t-shirt it’s printed on is Comfort Colors. Apparently, they’re well-known for high-quality materials. I just chose them because they are printed in the U.S. and made with 100 U.S. cotton.
