RFK to link Tylenol to autism

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is preparing to release a report suggesting Tylenol use in pregnancy may be linked to autism.
The details: The unreleased HHS analysis is expected to cite studies suggesting a possible link between acetaminophen (Tylenol’s active ingredient) and autism – while also noting research that found no such connection.
Kennedy’s report will also highlight folinic acid, a folate-derived drug, as a potential therapy for some autism symptoms.
Other possible causes may be discussed, though the WSJ report doesn’t indicate whether vaccines are among them.
The studies: WSJ reports: “Some previous studies have indicated risks to fetal development, but others have found no association.”
Market reaction: Kenvue, the parent company that makes Tylenol, saw its stock drop 9% on Friday after the news hit.
What they’re saying: Kenvue released a statement saying: “We have continuously evaluated the science and continue to believe there is no causal link between acetaminophen use during pregnancy and autism.”
The numbers: Today, Autism affects roughly one in 31 children in the U.S. In California, boys have autism at a rate of one in 12.5.
In 2000, the CDC found that rates were significantly lower, ranging between one in 101 and 222, depending on the state.
Back up: In 1982, cyanide-laced Tylenol capsules caused several deaths, leading to millions of bottles being recalled and a drop in usage. A scientific study found that children diagnosed with autism dropped among those born shortly after the contamination event.
What’s next? The report is expected to be released later this month.
Real talk from G: Over the past few weeks, there has been a coordinated ramp-up in attacks against Kennedy ahead of this report’s release. And I would consider this leak itself a part of that coordinated attack. HHS has not denied what’s in this report, but it could be an attempt to undermine the focus of RFK Jr’s findings.
The last word goes to a HHS spokesman who told WSJ: “We are using gold-standard science to get to the bottom of America’s unprecedented rise in autism rates. Until we release the final report, any claims about its contents are nothing more than speculation.”

Largest immigration raid in history

Federal agents arrested 475 illegal alien workers – most from South Korea – at Hyundai’s under-construction battery plant in Georgia, once hailed by Joe Biden as a U.S. manufacturing jobs success.
The details: Late last week, the Department of Homeland Security executed a search warrant on the Hyundai mega site in Bryan County, Georgia. The operation was carried out in collaboration with the FBI, ICE, DEA, Atlanta ATF, and other agencies.
Of the 475 illegals arrested, roughly 300 were from South Korea.
The Department of Homeland Security declared the bust the largest single-site enforcement operation in its history.
Back up: In 2022, Joe Biden visited the site to tout how it would "create more than 8,000 new American jobs."
President Donald Trump reacted to the news on Truth Social, saying:
“I am hereby calling on all Foreign Companies investing in the United States to please respect our Nation’s Immigration Laws. Your Investments are welcome…What we ask in return is that you hire and train American Workers.”
What is Hyundai saying? They passed the buck, telling Fox News that the illegals were brought on by a subcontractor, saying, "[I]t is our understanding that none of those detained is directly employed by Hyundai Motor Company." 🤡
What happens next? The South Korean nationals will be deported, with Seoul dispatching its own planes to bring them home – sparing U.S. taxpayers the cost of removal.
Real talk from G: The fact that a South Korean manufacturer just happened to be employing hundreds of illegals from South Korea is not a coincidence. They intentionally brought those workers into the U.S. rather than hiring Americans. It’s a slap in the face.

A few months ago, I was at a butcher in my neighborhood and saw a diagram of a cow, with all the cuts of meat labeled. And that gave me an idea for a t-shirt:
DOGE Butcher Shop — but instead of the cow, we use a pig. And the cuts of meat in the diagram represent all the waste, fraud, and abuse being butchered by the Trump admin.
Over the last few weeks, I worked with a really talented graphic designer who brought it to life. And on Friday I got a sample in the mail and I’m happy to say, it came out better than I’d hoped.
Also, my wife told me I had to mention that the t-shirt it’s printed on is Comfort Colors. Apparently, they’re well-known for high-quality materials. I just chose them because they are printed in the U.S. and made with 100 U.S. cotton.
