California drags out election, raising fraud concerns
Two days after polls closed, California still doesn’t know who won its governor or Los Angeles mayor primaries — and the final tally could take up to three weeks.
The details: With only 56% of the statewide vote counted by Wednesday, Trump-endorsed Republican Steve Hilton led a field in California’s governor’s race. But millions of ballots remain uncounted, leaving the order of finish – and who advances to the November runoff – up in the air.
☀ Governor’s race: Hilton sits at 27.6%, ahead of Democrat Xavier Becerra (25.6%) and billionaire Tom Steyer (19.9%).
🏖 LA mayor’s race: Incumbent Karen Bass led at 35%, with Republican Spencer Pratt second at 29.9%.
🗳 The runoffs: Under California’s top-two system, the leading two finishers advance regardless of party.
Why it’s so slow: The crawl is by design. California counts mail ballots postmarked by Election Day even if they arrive a week later, then gives counties weeks to verify signatures, clear provisional ballots, and let voters fix errors.
Back up: This is nothing new. California didn’t certify its November 2024 general election until December 13 — more than five weeks after polls closed.
It doesn’t have to be this way: France runs a nationwide vote and has full results the same night. The country banned mail-in voting back in 1975 over fraud fears, uses paper ballots counted by hand, and reports results within hours of polls closing.

“There’s BIG cheating by the Dumocrats in California. Votes are all tied up. May not be in for weeks. Under investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles. Why the vote counting DELAY???”

Left-wing watchdog caught funding KKK cross burnings
The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) – the Democrats' go-to "hate group" watchdog – secretly bankrolled Ku Klux Klan cross-burnings, robes, and recruitment with donor money, the Justice Department alleged in a federal indictment Tuesday.
Back up: The DOJ first indicted the SPLC in April on 11 counts of wire fraud, bank fraud, and money-laundering conspiracy, alleging it funneled roughly $3 million to at least eight operatives inside groups like the KKK and Aryan Nations.
The details: This week's superseding indictment goes further, itemizing what that donor money paid for inside the Klan. Prosecutors say it funded the group's actual operations, not just intelligence.
🔥 Reimbursements allegedly covered cross-burnings down to the wood and fuel, plus materials to make hoods and robes.
👕 Donor cash also financed recruitment drives and racist paraphernalia sold at rallies, the filing claims.
💵 Two Klansmen asked the SPLC to help them leave in 2010 over safety fears; instead, prosecutors say, the group paid them $1,200 a month to stay active.
The numbers: The new charges raise the alleged haul from about $3 million to $4.1 million funneled to "field sources" between 2010 and 2023.
Big picture: The SPLC has spent decades labeling conservative organizations as "hate groups.” Turns out, they were funding the hate they claimed to expose.
The last word goes to acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, who summed it up nicely: "The SPLC is manufacturing racism to justify its existence."

As German bombs were falling on my city, my mother and grandmother would pray for the Americans to come and help us, as we desperately spent most nights in air raid shelters.
When the Americans came to save us, my family knew we would be safe – and that we would not be under the control of the Third Reich.
When I became an adult I was determined to immigrate to the USA. It took me three years and many $$$ but I made it in 1968. I married a good American man in 1978 and became a Naturalized Citizen in 1979.
America has given so much to me and my family. I feel the least I can do is love this country with all I have to offer: my loyalty, my love, and my thanks to all who have given.
I am a Proud American who never allows a negative comment in my immediate area.
